Jose Gutierrez Gonzalez, an accomplished author and son of Liborio Gutierrez Martin del Campo, brings his rich life experience and achievement to his work. With a master’s degree in educational leadership, Jose's professional life is distinguished by over 25 years dedicated to shaping minds as an elementary school teacher. His commitment to education and passion for storytelling are evident in his literary contributions, which have earned him international recognition.
In 2014, Jose was honored with three awards from the International Latino Book Awards organization, a testament to his skill and dedication to literature that resonates across cultural boundaries. His journey into writing is deeply personal, extending the legacy of his father, Liborio, by completing and bringing to life a two-book series that explores their shared heritage and the rich history of La Capilla de Guadalupe, Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico.
Growing up in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles during the 70s and 80s, Jose's experiences have infused his work with a unique perspective, blending his vibrant, multicultural upbringing with the profound historical narratives of his ancestral homeland.
Beyond the classroom and the world of literature, Jose is an accomplished fine art photographer, whose work has been showcased in galleries. His personal life is anchored by over 30 years of marriage and the pride of having two children who have excelled in their academic pursuits, graduating from top colleges in the United States.
